De veelzijdige musicusElske te Lindert(1980, sopraan) begon haar muzikale carrière als organist. Ze studeerde orgel bij Gijs van Schoonhoven en Cor Ardesch. Als organist verdiept ze zich vooral in de muziek van Bach. Als solist of begeleider is zij regelmatig te horen. Ze maakte verschillende opnames voor de Nederlandse Bachvereniging, voor hun website allofbach.com. In 2021 verscheen haar eerste orgel-CD met orgelwerken van Bach, gespeeld op het Flentrop-orgel in de Catharinakerk te Doetinchem.
De studie en het werk in de orgelwereld geeft haar veel extra bagage, maar zorgde er ook voor dat ze iets miste in haar werk. Elske houdt erg van het contact met haar publiek en dat is iets wat lastig te maken is als je als organist onzichtbaar bent tijdens de concerten. Gaandeweg werd de voorkeur voor het zingen steeds groter. Al van jongs af aan zong ze op allerlei plekken solo en in koren. Ze besloot om naast haar werk als organist ook een zangstudie te ondernemen. Ze studeerde zang bij Maarten Koningsberger. En al snel werd haar werkveld als zangeres breder.
Als zangeres heeft ze intussen een uitvoerige concertpraktijk, waar lied, oratorium en opera deel van uitmaken. Ze volgde lessen en masterclasses bij onder andere Margreet Honig, Paul Triepels en Johannette Zomer. Ze trad al op als solist bij verschillende grote orkesten, waaronder Het Orkest van het Oosten, het Sint Petersburg Kamerorkest en Philharmonie Zuidnederland. Als sopraan maakt ze deel uit van het ensemble Il Canto di Rame. (www.ilcantodirame.eu) Ook werkt ze regelmatig voor de Nederlandse Reisopera en Consensus Vocalis. Met Il Canto di Rame maakte ze een CD met allemaal nieuwe Nederlandse muziek, speciaal voor het ensemble gecomponeerd of bewerkt.
Intussen is Elske er achter dat ze graag veelzijdig musicus blijft. Dat betekent dat ze nog altijd werkzaam is als sopraan én organist. Ook is ze al sinds haar 19edirigent. Dit is een aspect van haar werk dat ze altijd is blijven doen. Elske houdt ervan om, naast zelf uitvoerend bezig te zijn, ook bij anderen de talenten naar boven te halen. Bovendien is organisatie een sterke kant van haar. De koordirectie neemt een steeds grotere plaats in, in haar werk. In 2022 is ze summa cum laude afgestudeerd aan het conservatorium van Maastricht, waar ze een masterstudie koordirectie deed bij Ludo Claesen.
Elske is als cantor-organist verbonden aan de Catharinakerk te Doetinchem, waar ze de leiding heeft over de cantorij en Ensemble Ancora. Verder is ze dirigent van het Deventer Vocaal Ensemble en Kamerkoor Decamerone (Utreecht) en is ze al zeventien jaar muzikaal eindverantwoordelijke voor de studiedagen voor Liturgie en Kerkmuziek te Hoeven, waar zij sinds 2012 ook de algehele leiding heeft.

The versatile musician Elske te Lindert (1980, soprano) started her musical career as an organist. She studied organ with Gijs van Schoonhoven and Cor Ardesch. As an organist, she mainly immerses herself in Bach's music. Especially with this music in mind, she is still occasionally coached by Cor Ardesch. As a soloist or accompanist she can be heard regularly at home and abroad. She made several recordings for the Netherlands Bach Society, for their website allofbach.com. In 2021 her first organ CD with organ works by Bach was released, played on the Flentrop organ in the Catharinakerk in Doetinchem.
The study and work in the organ world gives her a lot of extra baggage, but also ensured that she was missing something in her work. Elske loves the contact with her audience and that is something that is difficult to make if you are invisible as an organist during the concerts. Gradually, the preference for singing grew. From an early age she sang solo and in choirs in all kinds of places. She decided to undertake singing studies in addition to her work as an organist. She studied singing with Maarten Koningsberger. And soon her field of work as a singer broadened.
As a singer she now has an extensive concert practice, which includes song, oratorio and opera. She took masterclasses with Margreet Honig and Paul Triepels, among others, and currently has occasional lessons with Johannette Zomer. She has already performed as a soloist with several major orchestras, including the Orkest van het Oosten, the Sint Petersburg Chamber Orchestra and the South Netherlands Philharmonic. In the meantime, Elske has found out that she likes to remain a versatile musician. This means that she still works as a soprano and organist. She has also been a conductor since she was 19. This is an aspect of her work that she has always continued to do. Elske likes to bring out the talents of others, in addition to being active herself. Moreover, organization is one of her strengths. Choral conducting plays an increasingly important role in her work. In 2022 she will graduate from the conservatory of Maastricht, where she is doing a master's degree in choral conducting with Ludo Claesen.
Elske is cantor-organist at the Catharina Church in Doetinchem. She is also conductor of the Deventer Vocal Ensemble and Chamber Choir Decamerone (Utrecht) and has been musically responsible for the study days for Liturgy and Church Music in Hoeven for seventeen years, where she has also been in overall charge since 2012.
